For anyone unfamiliar, the internationally acclaimed stage sensation Jersey Boys tells the story of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. With hits like ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’, ‘Sherry’, ‘Walk Like A Man’, ‘Oh What A Night’ and ‘Can’t Take My Eyes Off You’, Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons went on to sell 175 million records worldwide. And they did all that before they were 30. Having smashed New Zealand box office records when it first visited in 2012, Jersey Boys is one of the most requested musicals for a return season by New Zealand theatre audiences. Winner of fifty-seven major awards worldwide, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, there is no doubt why.
