Live Sport Guide

Where to get your live sport fix

With most live sport across the globe on pause, take a look at where you can still get in on the action.

This post originally appeared on Ticketmaster Australia’s Discover.

The absence of live sport around the world has left a huge hole in a lot of us.

We know you’re missing the thrill and excitement just as much as us, so we put together a list of places you can still watch the pros go at it across the world.

Darts

Elite darts is back, as the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) brings you the home tour.

One of the only sports that can be completed from the comfort of your home, the world’s best will compete live across 32 consecutive nights.

Expect to see the stars from across the globe compete, including Aussie Michael Whitlock (The Wizard) and current number 1 Michael van Gerwen (Mighty Mike), with all Tour Card Holders given the opportunity to compete.

World number 2 and 3, Peter Wright and Gerwyn Price have already been defeated in Rounds 1 and 2, as we close in on the halfway mark of the initial 32-group stage.

Each of the 32 consecutive nights of action will see a pool of four players go head-to-head, with the winner of each group advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

Commentator Dan Dawson will talk through each round nightly, with each competitor facing one another in the best of nine legs.

Where to watch: Each day of action will be streamed live on PDC.TV, for all registered users (regardless of free or paid membership).

Reigning World Champion Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright had already bowed out of the competition.

Horse racing

Horse racing across Australia is still kicking, crowd-less of course, but all still available for your viewing pleasure.

Looking ahead to this weekend, Saturday 2 May will see a race day at all of Ladbrokes Park Lakeside,  Morphettville, Doomben and Aquis Park Gold Coast.

Where to watch: Get your racing fix and stay up to date on each and every race day at Racing.com.

E-Sports

If E-Sports are more your tune, how about checking out the Overwatch League?

The team-based first-person shooter game is almost at the half-way point of the season, heading into Week 13 this weekend.

Split across two conferences, the 20 teams in action hail from right across the globe, including USA, South Korea, China, France, UK and Canada.

Where to watch: You can catch nine matches across this weekend, all available live on the Overwatch League channel on YouTube.

Football (Soccer)

We know there are plenty of football lovers out there missing the world game. But don’t fret, there are still live games to catch.

We’ve heard all about the Belarusian Premier League, denying all that is happening in the world and continuing to soldier on with the league fixtures.

The season is six weeks in, with  Slutsk, Isloch and Torpedo-BelAZ making up the current top three.

Our two picks of this weekend’s action sees arguably the most-well known Belarusian side, BATE Borisov, clash with Neman Grodno, after making a serious climb back up the table in recent weeks.

You can also catch seven-time Champions Dinamo Minsk as they host Slutsk.

A fantastic strike from Torpedo’s Gabriel Ramos in matchweek 4.

Another league that continues to push on with their season is the Nicaraguan Primera Division.

We are currently at the Semi-Final stage of the competition, played over the next few days. Walter Ferretti host Managua next in the first of two legs.

Real Esteli then host Diriangen in the second leg of their clash, heading in with a 1-0 aggregate lead.

Where to watch: You can catch both leagues streaming live on Bet365.

So, if you’re missing what would be peak AFL, A-League and NRL action right now, there are still plenty of options. Get your teeth into some live sport this weekend and stay safe at home.
