Sir Paul McCartney brings One On One tour to Auckland

The rock and roll legend reveals New Zealand headliner at Mt Smart Stadium this December.

Sir Paul McCartney has announced details of the New Zealand leg of his legendary One On One tour, having revealed a new Auckland show during a live Facebook stream.

The two-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 21-time Grammy Award winner joined Australia’s Tim Minchin for a live Q&A last night, where they discussed the upcoming tour and answered fan questions.

Among the handful of stadium dates is a huge headliner at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday 16 December.

On the news, McCartney said, “We’ve been waiting to get back to Australia and New Zealand for years and now it’s finally happening. It is very exciting. I’m really looking forward to the concerts as we’ve always had such a brilliant time whenever we’ve been before so we know we are in for a treat. Can’t wait to see you and all rock out together.

We’ll have tickets for Paul McCartney’s One On One show at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday 16 December.

Ticketmaster’s Top Ticket Tips

Open your Ticketmaster account and log in now

We suggest getting the basics covered before tickets go on sale by logging in and checking your Ticketmaster account ahead of time. Remember to triple check your passwords and billing information now, so you’re not facing any last minute account updates when trying to process your order. Head to now and log in to your account to get started.

Don’t refresh your screen

Stick to one window when you’re processing your ticket order and avoid the temptation to use multiple devices. Attempting to access tickets from multiple devices won’t increase your chances of securing tickets and could risk slowing the process down. Similarly, hitting the refresh button means you’ll lose your place in the queue, and as frustrating it can be, patience is key when trying to buy tickets.

Ticketmaster’s sophisticated systems are designed to manage and process ticket purchases as quickly as possible. The queuing system that appears on your screen is doing all the hard work for you and will place you at the front of the line as soon as possible.

Please note, if you see a ‘no tickets available’ message when attempting to purchase tickets, this means there are no tickets available within your search restrictions.

Keep an eye on the clock

There will be a time limit applied to all transactions as they’re progressed through the ticket purchasing stages. Remember to keep an eye on the timer on your screen and move through the processing pages as quickly as possible (this is even easier when you’ve completed the account set-up stage we mentioned above).

Check our social channels for updates

Our Twitter followers are the first to find out about ticket updates, even after tickets have gone on sale. If anything changes with Paul McCartney tickets, we’ll feed the news live onto our social channels. Our real-time updates include any technical difficulties that may occur during such busy ticket sales. Remember Paul McCartney has A LOT of fans and tickets are expected to sell extremely quickly.
