Rise Against will play Auckland at the beginning of next year, with support from SWMRS.
Chicago punks, Rise Against, have announced new tour dates for February 2018 including a huge show in Auckland.
Bringing their Wolves tour cycle to Kiwi fans, the US quartet will play two headline shows in New Zealand after a run in Australia.
They’ll also be joined by California outfit SWMRS for all dates, which includes a gig at Logan Campbell Centre on 19 February.
Talking about the new record, which they recorded in Nashville with producer Nick Raskulinecz ( Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains), Rise Against frontman Tim McIlrath said, “In many ways, a Rise Against show is a safe space for our fans.
“But I realised… I want to create dangerous spaces where misogyny can’t exist, where xenophobia can’t exist. I want to create spaces where those sentiments don’t have any air, and they suffocate: where those ideas die.
“Wolves isn’t about creating a safe space, it’s about creating a space that’s dangerous for injustice.”
