Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds confirm Vector Arena show for January 2017

Get excited. Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have confirmed plans to play New Zealand next year.

The iconic Australian outfit will hit the road in January 2017 in support of their latest record, Skeleton Tree, with a show at Vector Arena.

They’ll play the legendary Auckland venue on Wednesday 18 January – tickets go on sale Thursday 27 October at 09:00 (local time) via Ticketmaster.co.nz.

The release of Skeleton Tree was coupled with black and white film One More Time With Feeling, which explored the personal moments between Cave and his family following the tragic death of his 15-year-old son.

Given the impossibly difficult circumstances that surrounded the album, a tour wasn’t necessarily expected.

Performing in the band alongside Cave and Ellis will be Martyn Casey, Thomas Wydler, Jim Sclavunos, Conway Savage, George Vjestica and Larry Mullins.

Experimental trio The Necks have also been confirmed as support for a bunch of dates.
