The spring/summer event schedule in New Zealand is jam-packed with a huge number of fantastic concerts from some of the biggest names in the entertainment business!

Many of the major players are heading our way for massive shows throughout the coming weeks and months. To help you narrow down the list, we have put together a run-down of 10 of the best concerts that are set to hit New Zealand. Check out our list below. And don’t forget, this is just the tip of the iceberg; there are many more fantastic music and entertainment events headed our way in the near future.

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert burst onto the music scene in 2009 when he was the runner-up in the hugely popular American Idol television show. The theatrical style of Lambert has garnered him a huge following within the pop and electronic music scenes. He has released many top 10 singles in Australia, including his latest track, Ghost Town, and Lambert is fresh from touring with legendary band, Queen. Lambert will perform at Auckland Town Hall in January 2016 – get in line; because this show is sure to rock!

 

Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell is one performer with seriously decent rock credentials. As the lead singer of Seattle rock band Soundgarden, and later as the key vocalist in the super group Audioslave, Cornell is a key figure in the industry. The talented singer-songwriter has also established himself as an accomplished solo artist, who has released three studio albums and 14 singles. Cornell will hit the stage of ASB Theatre on November 26 and 27. Don’t miss out on your chance to see true rock royalty up close and personal.

The queen of pop is finally coming to New Zealand! Madonna makes her long-awaited debut on our shores when her Rebel Heart tour comes to town in 2016. The material girl will be performing at Vector Arena on March 5 and 6 and there are still decent tickets available for this once in a lifetime experience. Madonna is an absolute icon of the entertainment industry; her music has provided the soundtrack to our lives for decades (think Vogue, Like A Virgin, Papa Don’t Preach, Holiday, Lucky Star and Express Yourself). AC/DC is one of the most incredible live rock acts you will ever have the pleasure of seeing. The Australian exports are well known for their high energy, spectacular live shows which leave the crowd wanting more. The band’s Rock or Bust tour will bring them to Western Springs Stadium on December 15. With massive worldwide smash hits such as Thunderstruck, Back in Black, Hells Bells, Jailbreak and T.N.T., AC/DC has serious rock credentials. Angus Young and Brian Johnson lead the group admirably and both stun with their energy and longevity. Get along to this event – it will be epic!

Imagine Dragons

Burt Bacharach

Burt Bacharach is one of the most prolific songwriters in the history of music. His partnership with Hal David, which dates back to the 1950s, has produced a countless number of smash hits, many of which have been performed by some of the biggest names in the music industry including Dionne Warwick and Perry Como. Burt Bacharach has written more than 70 US and in excess of 50 UK Top 40 hits. He is a six-time Grammy Award winner and has won three Academy Awards.
