Ahead of her first-ever trip to New Zealand, we sat down with Swedish singer-songwriter Leon to chat about making her debut album and taking it to stages around the world.
Did you miss the news? Pop superstar Carly Rae Jepsen is heading to New Zealand in December.
Fans on this side of the world have been begging and pleading for the chance to hear Jepsen in the flesh, and now thanks to her stunning fourth album Dedicated, our prayers have been answered. Now the Canadian singer-songwriter is preparing for one special, not-to-be-missed show on our shores.
Best known for her breakout single, 2012’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ – which went on to become the highest-selling single of that year and transformed Jepsen into a household name – she has since released a string of records that each provide a masterclass in what pop music should sound like.
The Dedicated tour is playing now across North America, Europe, and Asia before landing in Australasia so we are certain Jepsen will be on fire when she arrives.
Carly Rae Jepsen will perform at Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday 4 December. Tickets go on sale Thursday 26 September via Ticketmaster.co.nz.
