ANNIE – I bet your bottom dollar you’ll love it!

Annie is a musical that has spawned a number of Tony awards and decades of praise in its story telling and musical literature. From its Broadway beginnings to the classic film musical, this heart-warming rag to riches story of a young girl’s journey from a hard-knock life to the luxurious home of Oliver Warbucks is a tale that will pick on various emotions in its audiences.

For those unfamiliar to the store-line, Annie is a young girl living in a miserable orphanage run by a tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes when she finds herself in the lap of luxury with the wealthy Oliver Warbucks. Annie, a girl with fiery character and determination believes her parents are still alive and will one day return to claim her. So, when Mr. Warbucks adopts her she asks the most powerful man in America to help find her real parents and he agrees.  But soon the story takes a sinister turn when a kidnap plot is cooked up putting Annie in great danger. One question lingers, will Annie remain under the care of Oliver Warbucks? Find her real parents? Or go back into the arms of Miss Hannigan?

The production features a host of familiar faces from the UK. Britain’s Su Pollard plays the devious Miss Hannigan while West End stage veteran David McAlister plays Oliver Warbucks. Miss Ayesa who played the lead role in We Will Rock You in London and New Zealand also joins the cast, as well as Frazer Hines, who is best known for playing Joe Sudgen in Emmerdale for 22 years along with 117 episodes added to his repertoire. Two stars from the BBC sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo – Sue Hodge who played waitress Mimi Labonq and John D Collins who played Flying Officer Fairfax also join the mix.

The track list for the musical includes the memorable “It’s The Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” and the legendary “Tomorrow”. This combined with fantastic sets, costumes, a stellar cast and a touching humorous story line makes Annie a must watch production sure to tug at the heart strings of all who attend. Truly a show for the entire family.
