Multi-sensory digital art experience Inside Dali coming to Auckland and Christchurch in 2022
Ready to experience Salvador Dali's surrealist world like never before?
The way we experience art continues to change, and the next exhibition-meets-experience set to shake things up is the highly anticipated multi-sensory experience Inside Dali – ready to immerse audiences in Auckland and Christchurch later this year.
One of the most celebrated surrealist creators of the 20th century – often referred to as the father of surrealism – Salvador Dali is best known for his painterly output, but he also explored sculpture, printmaking, fashion, advertising, writing, and filmmaking, with many of his creations still celebrated in pop culture today.
The exhibition, Inside Dali, combines cutting-edge technology, imagery, real objects, and illusions to give audiences a fascinating insight into some of Dali’s famous masterpieces and a full chronological trip through Dali’s life in pictures.

This epic adventure into the life and works of Salvador Dali will allow you to view his works like never before. The immersive experience brings to life his incredible works as epic-scale masterpieces, displayed floor to ceiling across every surface in the room, woven together with stunning musical soundscapes.
The heart of the exhibition is the Immersive Room – here, you come into direct contact with Dali’s paintings, almost becoming a character in his surrealist world.
The Divine Comedy Room that will show Dali’s controversial commission for Alighiere’s Dante’s Inferno, while the Mirror Room see you exposed to Dali’s surrealist work in a 360-degree setting. Direct from Florence, Italy, visitors can learn more about Dali’s flamboyant personality and fascination for classical and renaissance art in real interviews with the artist himself.
