Internationally renowned award-winning musician, Tim Minchin, is bringing BACK to New Zealand!

The tour, aptly titled BACK, will head to ASB Theatre, Auckland on Sunday 14th April 2019 and then to Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington on Thursday 18th April 2019

It’s the Perth-bred artist’s first Australia and New Zealand tour after more than a decade living overseas. Billed as “Old Songs, New Songs, F*** You Songs”, the setlist hints at all kinds of material from the funny piano man’s extensive and iconic repertoire.

Celebrated globally for writing the music and lyrics for Matilda the Musical and Groundhog Day (which have notched up more than 25 awards between them), BACK is Tim Minchin’s long-awaited follow up to the 2011 and 2012 consecutive sold-out national tours of Tim Minchin Vs the Orchestra.

HOW DO I GET TICKETS?

With a long history of sold-out tours and the most recent being a one-off performance as part of Dark Mofo in June which sold out in under 15 minutes, Tim wants fans to be given priority access to tickets so is teaming up with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan © registration.

Ticketmaster Verified Fan® utilises a unique fan-first technology to help identify fans who truly want to attend the show and restrict ticket access to scalpers and bots.

Tim Minchin Ticketmaster Verified Fan® Presale New Zealand

As Tim points out, “…Verified Fan is a way of stopping scalpers buying loads of tickets and selling them to poor, desperate people for way too much money…register as a Verified Fan from now and if as many people as possible do, we will make sure that tickets end up in the hands of people who have paid a reasonable price so we don’t all get fleeced.”

Ticketmaster Verified Fan © registration will open at 9am (NZST) Thursday, August 30 until 7pm (NZST) Sunday, September 2 and will enable early access to tickets for verified fans from 12pm Wednesday, September 5 (local time), for 24 hours.

HOW DOES TICKETMASTER VERIFIED FAN® WORK

Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan® utilises a unique fan-first technology to help identify fans who truly want to attend the show and restrict ticket access to scalpers and bots. Fans now have a better opportunity to access tickets for artists they love.

Fans who are successfully verified will be notified via email by 5pm on Tuesday 4th September.

If verified, you will receive your one-time use access code approximately two to four hours before the Presale at 12pm (Local Time) on Wednesday 5th September.

We also suggest keeping an eye on your email in case there are any disruptions with text delivery.

Presale tickets will be available on a first-come, first served basis. An access code does not guarantee tickets.

To allow for as many fans as possible to see Tim Minchin, codes are valid for one-time use and purchasers are held to a limit of FOUR (4) tickets maximum.

If you miss out on tickets in the presale, there will be limited tickets available in the general public onsale at 2pm (Local Time) on Thursday 5th September. Codes will not be required for this.

Don’t forget to register for access to Tim Minchin’s Presale powered by Ticketmaster Verified Fan® before 7pm (NZST) on Sunday 2nd September.

Not only has the music virtuoso gone to the effort of ensuring real fans get access to tickets, he’s also announced that a portion of the tour profits will be donated to a local charity in each city. What a guy!
