The clock is ticking on the hottest tickets!

We all know the feeling of waiting for tickets to the hottest events in town to go on sale. If you really want to get your hands on tickets for an amazing concert, the biggest sporting event or a must-see theatre show, the wait can feel like a lifetime.

The waiting game has been made a little more bearable thanks to Ticketmaster’s new countdown clock that clearly shows how many days, hours and minutes until a presale or general public onsale for events on Ticketmaster’s website, Ticketmaster.co.nz.

When customers search for events where tickets are not yet on sale, the Event Details Page (EDP) now features a prominent countdown clock that updates in real time. The countdown clock functions for both presales and onsales and puts the most important information squarely in front of fans.

The ‘Onsale Times’ tab still appears in the menu and will continue to be populated with details of presale and onsale times as it always has, but the countdown clock will also display.

The countdown clock is in operation until the very last second and the page automatically refreshes once the clock reaches zero to enable ticket purchases to commence. Gone are the days of staring at your computer clock with your mouse poised to refresh. The countdown clock does it all for you!

The new-look EDP also includes the venue map so ticket purchasers know the exact set up of the event and can be prepared once tickets are on sale.

But the improvements don’t stop there; additional EDP updates include a prominent lightbox that appears in the centre of the page if a presale is password protected. Once a correct offer code is entered, a success message will appear and the customer can proceed to the ticket purchase phase.

The above improvements are small steps in providing live event fans with the best possible user experience when purchasing tickets via Ticketmaster’s website. As always, Ticketmaster continues to investigate and invest in new and exciting initiatives that engage the fan and assist our clients to reach the right audience and sell more tickets.

Ticketmaster is always looking for new and innovative ways to improve the ticket purchase journey, particularly on its website as it is our most prominent platform for selling tickets. The EDP updates are highly beneficial for Ticketmaster clients and customers and we look forward to providing more customer journey updates in the future.
