The music is undoubtedly the hero of any musical… I guess that is why they call them musicals.
At tmBlog we decided to celebrate the amazing songs that make musicals the toe-tapping, seat-dancing extravaganzas that we all know and love. Plus, we wanted to separate the true musical fanatics from the pretenders… and what better way to do that than with a musicals lyrics quiz that celebrates all our favourite tunes from all our favourite musicals?
In New Zealand we are spoiled for choice when it comes to incredible musicals and theatre productions. All over the country, theatre lovers have access to brilliant performances from local amateur theatre to major productions.
And it seems New Zealanders are all too keen to lap up the opportunity to see these remarkable musicals with thousands of people filling theatres across the country.
Current musical and theatre productions in New Zealand include Cats, South Pacific, Nunsense and the National Youth Theatre Company’s production of Seussical the Musical.
