Stones Sax Player Bobby Keys To Play Kiwi Sideshows

Rolling Stones legendary long-time sax player Bobby Keys will tour New Zealand as a solo artist in April with his all-star band The Suffering Bastards as sideshows to The Stones dates.

Keys played on every Rolling Stones record from 1969-1974 and from 1980 onwards. That is his saxophone solo on The Stones classic ‘Brown Sugar’ and John Lennon’s ‘Whatever Gets You Thru The Night’

Bobby Keys is credited on albums by George Harrison ‘All Things Must Pass’, Ringo Starr ‘Ringo’, Keith Richards ‘Talk Is Cheap’, John Lennon ‘Walls and bridges’, Joe Cocker ‘Mad Dogs and Englishmen’ and Eric Clapton ‘Eric Clapton’.

Bobby Keys will tour New Zealand with The Suffering Bastards, featuring Dan Baird (The Georgia Satellites) on Guitar and vocals; Chark Kinsolving (Spoonful) on Guitar, Michael Webb (John Fogerty, Poco) on Piano and Hammond Organ, Robert Kearns (Lynyrd Skynyrd) on Bass and Brad Pemberton (Ryan Adams and the Cardinals) on Drums.
