Following a huge viral campaign from South Island fans, Six60 have announced that they’ll be bringing their stadium show to Dunedin next March.

The group will perform at Forsyth Barr Stadium two weeks after their sold-out Western Springs Stadium show in Auckland.

The campaign started in November after the band’s frontman Matiu Walters announced in an interview that he’d love to return to the city. They last visited when they were supporting Ed Sheeran.

“We’ve been working really hard on plans for the Western Springs concert, it’s a big celebration of everything that’s happened so far, so it’s amazing that we can bring this special show home to where Six60 began and where people first supported our music,” the band says.

The band will be supported by an all-star Kiwi line-up of acts, including Drax Project, SWIDT, IllBaz, and rapper JessB.

It’s been a huge year for Six60. They were announced as the most played artist in New Zealand on Spotify, won five Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards and become the first Kiwi act to sell out Western Springs Stadium.
