P!NK named Ticket of the Year 2018

P!NK has beaten out Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, and Bruno Mars to be crowned New Zealand's Ticket of the Year 2018.

We asked you to choose your favourite live event of 2018 and you answered in your thousands – crowning P!NK at Spark Arena, Auckland as Ticketmaster’s Ticket of the Year 2018 in New Zealand.

Ticketmaster polled New Zealand fans from its database of live entertainment fans around the world to discover the most popular live events in 2018.

Pop superstar P!NK came out on top, with her Spark Arena show being crowned New Zealand’s Ticket of the Year for 2018.

Not far behind though, P!NK held off stiff competition from the likes of Ed Sheeran at both Mt Smart Stadium and Forsyth Barr Stadium, Sam Smith and Bruno Mars at Spark Arena, and Foo Fighters at Mt Smart Stadium.

We were truly blessed with greatness this year!

It seems Auckland’s Spark Arena – New Zealand’s largest indoor venue – was the place to be this year, with extraordinary performances by superstars like P!NK, Sam Smith, Bruno Mars, Celine Dion, Cher, and Queen + Adam Lambert all making it into the top ten.

The poll also revealed that New Zealanders have an eclectic music taste, with artists representing three decades of music history spread across a variety of genres all receiving love.

On a global scale, seven-member South Korean boy band BTS  topped the poll for votes cast internationally.

Also thrilling fans around the world throughout 2018 was Ed Sheeran and Netherlands huge music festival Pinkpop.

2019 is almost upon us, and we’re already looking forward to all the goodness on its way. American rockers Eagles have been named as New Zealand’s most anticipated event for 2019 – with two shows at Spark Arena and one at Forsyth Bar Stadium the tour is set to be huge.

Other hotly anticipated shows for 2019 in New Zealand include hip hop artist Post Malone, Brit indie superstars Arctic Monkeys, hit machine Bryan Adams and the return of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
