The top ten Mumford & Sons songs
Mumford & Sons are almost ready to touch down in New Zealand, so we're looking through their catalogue to pick out our favourite tracks.
This January, Mumford & Sons will touch down at The Outer Fields at Western Springs Stadium for their first New Zealand show since 2015.
We absolutely can’t wait, so we’ve put together a list of our all-time favourite Mumford & Sons’ songs to help us through while we wait.
The huge, one-day festival-style show will also feature some incredible international support with American superstar Leon Bridges, English soul singer Michael Kiwanuka, Aussie favourite Angie McMahon and Tiny Ruin’s Hollie Fullbrook all also performing.

Before we deep dive into Mumford & Sons’ catalogue, get to know the rest of the lineup:
Leon Bridges – River
Key lyric: I wanna come near and give ya / Every part of me / But there’s blood on my hands / And my lips aren’t clean
Michael Kiwanuka – Cold Little Heart
Key lyric: I know / In my heart, in this cold heart / I can live or I can die / I believe if I just try
Angie McMahon – Slow Mover
Key lyric: Maybe you’ll get married / Maybe fall in love / Cause you can’t fall asleep / When you’re not holding me
Hollie Fullbrook – Olympic Girls
Key lyric: You only had your olympic girls / The frosted sheen of leotard twirls / Running revolt and winning gold / For the TV screen
Now it’s Mumford & Sons time.
The Cave
Key lyric: I need freedom now and I need to know how / To live my life as it’s meant to be
I Will Wait
Key lyric: These days of dust / Which we’ve known / Will blow away with this new sun
Little Lion Man
Key lyric: You’ll never settle any of your scores / Your grace is wasted in your face / Your boldness stands alone among the wreck
Dust Bowl Dance
Key lyric: I’ve been kicked off my land at the age of sixteen / And I have no idea where else my heart could have been
Lover of the Light
Key lyric: There’ll be no value in the strength of walls that I have grown / There’ll be no comfort in the shade of the shadows thrown / You may not trust the promises of the change I’ll show / But I’d be yours if you’d be mine
Roll Away Your Stone
Key lyric: It seems that all my bridges have been burned / But you say ‘That’s exactly how this grace thing works’
Below My Feet
Key lyric: Keep the earth below my feet / For all my sweat, my blood runs weak
Guiding Light
Key lyric: Even when there is no star in sight / You’ll always be my only guiding light
There Will Be Time
Key lyric: Open up my eyes to a new light / I wandered ’round your darkened land all night
If I Say
Key lyric: The innocence in your face bled out without a trace / You’ve won without an enemy, you’re ill without a remedy
