McCartney And Starr Get Back For The Beatles

The Beatles’ surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr performed together in Los Angeles on Monday at an all-star tribute to the Fab Four to be televised in February.

The show featured a rare reunion by Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox as Eurythmics performing ‘The Fool On The Hill’.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr also played together but only for ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ and ‘Hey Jude’.

McCartney and Starr last played together in 2010 for Ringo’s 70th birthday. They also performed publicly together in 2009 for a benefit for the David Lynch Foundation.

McCartney sang ‘Magical Mystery Tour’, ‘Birthday’, ‘Get Back’, ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ and ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ while Ringo performed the songs he sang in The Beatles, ‘Matchbox’, ‘Boys’ and ‘Yellow Submarine’ as well as ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’.

For the show John Mayer teamed Keith Urban, Alicia Keys with John Legend, Dave Grohl with Jeff Lynne of ELO, Gary Clark Jr with Grohl and Joe Walsh and Walsh and Lynne also performed George Harrison’s ‘Something’
