Ed Sheeran has responded to fan demand by adding a third Dunedin date to his 2018 New Zealand tour.

Adding the new show in New Zealand, Ed Sheeran tops up his sold out ÷ (divide) tour which takes place next March/April.

Original shows were met by phenomenal demand when they went on sale this week, with the British superstar selling out three nights at Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium and another two nights at Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin.

In keeping with his legendary status, Sheeran will perform completely unaccompanied, joined on stage by just a guitar and effect pedals. The pull of this one-man band is an incredible experience to witness; layers of harmonies, rhythms and guitar parts cast out to a crowd of thousands who sing every lyric straight back to him.

The album ÷ and its singles have already broken global streaming records and chart records in Australia: all sixteen tracks from the deluxe version of ÷ have charted in the ARIA Top 40, ÷ sits atop the ARIA Albums Chart for its seventh week while Shape Of You recently notched up a record-breaking fourteenth week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart.

Ticket onsale times

Tickets for Ed Sheeran’s new show at Forsyth Barr Stadium, Dunedin go on general sale at 1pm (local time) on Thursday 1 June.

Just as with the original dates, a limited number of tickets will also be available in Frontier Touring’s presale – this will take place on their website at 1pm (local time) on Tuesday 30 May.
