WestFest jam-packed with awesome acts

Rock fans will descend on Mt Smart Stadium in March for WestFest 2015 and the line-up is epic!

The festival has pulled out all stops to get an incredible line-up of local and international bands including Seattle rockers, Soundgarden, legendary San Francisco group, Faith No More, and heavy metal pioneers, Judas Priest.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. Joining the headline acts will be Lamb of God, Fall Out Boy, Wonder Years, Frenzal Rhomb, Papa Roach, All Time Low and many more.

If you are a legitimate lover of rock, punk and heavy metal, you cannot miss WestFest on March 3. Following the artist announcement the public response was so overwhelming the event had to be moved from its original venue to the much larger Mt Smart Stadium. The move is testament to the popularity of the event and the quality of the groups taking part.

WestFest is one event not to be missed!

To get you in the mood for the amazing acts you can expect to see at West Fest, we’ve compiled teaser videos below. Check it out!

Soundgarden – Spoonman

Soundgarden is one of the original groups of the ‘Seattle Sound’, which of course also featured Pearl Jam and Nirvana. The group was formed in the mid-80s and enjoyed popular success soon after. Ticketmaster’s resident music fans rate Spoonman as the group’s best song (with sincere apologies to the very popular Black Hole Sun). This is the song you need to be listening out for at WestFest.

Faith No More – Epic

It is always hard to choose just one song particularly when you are selecting from more than 30 years of hits. But we could not go past Epic. This is the one Faith No More song we just cannot miss at WestFest in 2015.

Judas Priest – Living After Midnight

Judas Priest formed in Birmingham, England in 1969 and is one of the most influential metal bands of all time. Narrowing down their incredible back catalogue was never going to be an easy task but we think Living After Midnight is a cracking song. If this doesn’t get you pumped up for WestFest, nothing will.

Fall Out Boy – Thnks fr th Mmrs

The punk rockers have enjoyed popular success and perhaps their most commercially successful song is Thnks fr th Mmrs. Lucky it is also a really great song so we were able to include it in our list of must-hear tracks at WestFest. Enjoy!

Frenzal Rhomb – Never Had So Much Fun

The resident Ticketmaster rock gurus had plenty of suggestions for this category (can we encourage you all to listen to their very fine song, Russell Crowe’s Band!) but we decided on Never Had So Much Fun. As well as being one of their best known songs, it is very representative of the band’s style and sound. Safe to say this will be one of the best and most fun songs at WestFest.
