Christmas isn’t all about giving but when you can surprise someone you love with tickets to see their favourite band, it’s pretty great.

British backpacker, Tom Dukeson, who’s been living in New Zealand, took the opportunity to surprise his dad with tickets to see Coldplay during their Christmas reunion last weekend.

The pair met up in Melbourne, Australia for the first time in almost two and a half years and Tom’s dad, Colin, was well and truly surprised when he was given the unexpected tickets.

Coldplay headed to Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium after headlining Auckland’s Mt Smart Stadium with their A Head Full of Dreams tour.
