Sting needs no formal introduction, from The Police days to his solo career which has spanned over two decades-musical genius Sting will grace our shores January 30 2015 with the legendary multi Grammy award winner Paul Simon.
This will be Paul Simon’s third time at Vector Arena in six years. While some may see Simon and Sting as two completely different musical entities, the reviews for this tour are in and they are impressive. On Stage Together, has been deemed a “small army of world class musicians,” which is impressive given the two musicians are famous for different music genres.
There is no doubt that New Zealanders have hit the jackpot and will be among the first to watch the tour as it kicks off at Vector Arena continuing on a 7 day tour in Australia.
Long time friends, Paul Simon and Sting grew the concept of their tour from the Robin Hood Foundation benefit in 2013 where they performed together for the first time. Both artists, who are known for exploring world rhythms, have pushed the boundaries of popular music and continue to speak to generations of fans.
This world tour will feature two legends and iconic songwriters on stage blending their voices and brands performing their best known hits. Fans are already buzzing about the North America concert tours, deeming it to be surprising, daring and sheer brilliance! With world renowned critics backing the thoughts of fans this is without a doubt an event not to be missed.
