Guitar wizard – and everyone's favourite heartthrob – John Mayer has announced he'll be bringing his world tour to New Zealand in 2019.
It feels like we’ve been waiting 100 years – okay, it’s only been almost five – but finally American singer-songwriter John Mayer is returning to our shores.
He’ll kick off his 2019 world tour right here in Auckland before heading over to Australia for a trio of shows.
We already know the seven-time GRAMMY winner has a huge back-catalogue of hits to choose from, so the news that there will be no opening act makes us extra excited for hours and hours of Mayer live. That’s right – we’ll be spending a whole evening together, as John serenades us through two full sets of tunes, with more songs in rotation than ever before.
“I can’t think of a better place to start my world tour than New Zealand and Australia. It’s been way too long since I’ve been back there,” says John Mayer.
Mayer will be bringing tracks from his seventh studio album, 2017’s The Search For Everything, as well as all his biggest hits and fan favourites like Your Body Is A Wonderland, Waiting on the World To Change, and Slow Dancing in a Burning Room – so basically, what we’re saying is, get ready for a swoon-worthy evening.
While we wait for John to arrive, we’re going to watch the hilariously fabulous video for New Light again.
Spark Arena Presale: Fri 14 Dec @ 11am until Sun 16 Dec @ 5pm
