For those unfamiliar to the store-line, Annie is a young girl living in a miserable orphanage run by a tyrannical Miss Hannigan. Her seemingly hopeless situation changes when she finds herself in the lap of luxury with the wealthy Oliver Warbucks. Annie, a girl with fiery character and determination believes her parents are still alive and will one day return to claim her. So, when Mr. Warbucks adopts her she asks the most powerful man in America to help find her real parents and he agrees. Find her real parents? Or go back into the arms of Miss Hannigan?

2)      The Wiggles – Apples and Bananas Tour
        July 5, ASB Theatre Auckland

        July 7, Civic Theatre Rotorua

July 9, TSB Showplace, New Plymouth

The Apples and Bananas tour features songs from their new Apples and Bananas CD and DVD from “This Old Man,” to “The Wheels on the Bus,’ all with The Wiggles unique musical touch. Wiggles songs play a prominent part in many young-lings lives, and with their most recent CD and DVD hit number one on the I-tunes chart show (for Hot Potatoes, The Best of The Wiggles),  the latest Wiggles hits such as “Do the Propeller” and “Simon Says” are just as popular as anything over their vast 23 year history. The Apples and Bananas tour will feature new hits as well as Wiggle classics such as “Hot Potato” and “Rock a Bye Your Bear”. The Fab Four of fun will  be joined by our favourite; Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus!

3)      Margaret Mahy’s The Man Whose Mother was a Pirate

Coming to life with a colorful stage adaptation of The Man Whose Mother was a Pirate follows Sam who is an ordinary person who wears an ordinary suit and ordinary shoes. He works in an ordinary, neat office writing down figures all day and underlines them. But Sam’s mother is definitely not an ordinary woman, Sam’s mother is a pirate and she wants to sweep him away to sea! What will Sam do? You will just have to watch the show to find out!

4)      Goldilocks and the Three Bears
July 14-19, Bruce Mason Centre Takapuna

This classic tale needs no introduction or explanation, many of us grew up with Goldilocks and her three bears; a bowl of porridge and a broken chair. One thing is for certain, we could never get sick of reading or watching Goldilocks and the Three Bears; bringing adults nostalgia and the younger generations and look into a classic story.
