Jerry Seinfeld to bring live comedy show to NZ for the first time ever

It’s the news that us comedy fans feared was never coming, but Jerry Seinfeld WILL perform live in New Zealand for the first time.

Announced alongside a run of Australian dates, the legendary funny man will headline Vector Arena on Saturday 12 August 2017.

The one-off date will follow Seinfeld’s five-city tour of Australia and is expected to be in phenomenal demand.

“New Zealand and Australia may be far in miles but I feel very close to the people because of our mutual comedy connection,” he said in the official statement. “I couldn’t be more excited about seeing everyone there.”

Highly regarded as ‘the comedian’s comedian’, Seinfield is a master of observational wit. There’s simply no topic too small when it comes to be examined at length and ridiculed relentlessly.

Of course he’s best known across the world for his groundbreaking sitcom, Seinfeld, which ran for nine seasons and is still considered to a minefield of comedy gold.

After ending the show, Seinfeld toured Australia (some say to escape the media spotlight back home) but didn’t quite back it to New Zealand.

Now that’s all about to change.

Don’t miss Jerry Seinfeld at the Vector Arena on Saturday 12 August 2017 – tickets go on general sale on Monday 14 November, head over to Ticketmaster.co.nz then.
